CÓMO VOLVER AL COLE Y NO MORIR EN EL INTENTO

HOW TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND NOT DIE TRYING

Summer is almost over and back to school is getting closer. It's time to get back to routines, are you ready? Here are some tips to make it a little easier for you to achieve this.

Oh, back to school time! We have to say goodbye to late nights, unscheduled days, uncontrolled ice cream and candy consumption, and few obligations... let's not deny it: at some point we've all missed the routine. But we also know that changing habits will be difficult. How can we progressively and satisfactorily implement changes? Here are some tips that we hope will help you in the coming weeks!:

-          Bedtime schedules: Let's get right to the main challenge. Summer nights are long, and it seems impossible to imagine your little one going to sleep at nine again. The trick is to gradually approach bedtime. For example, every day you can have them go to bed 5 or 10 minutes earlier. To achieve this, try to ensure that they don't watch TV or use their favorite toys in the last moments of the day to slow down their activity level.

-          Homework: Are you one of those who did a little homework every day, or one of those who still have an unopened homework book? If you've never stopped doing some homework, it would be a good idea to increase the activity a little (one or two exercises a day will be enough), and if you haven't started, it's time to catch up. If they are used to a small homework routine, it will be easier for them to get back into the rhythm of school activities.

-          Explain and motivate: Tell them about the experiences they will have in the coming weeks; that is, tell them they will see their classmates, that they will do many activities, that there will be excursions during the course, that they will be able to go out to the playground to play ball... motivate them and create anticipation. These will be days of many emotions, and they need to be prepared so that they don't encounter them all at once.

-          Clothes: It's time! Some of you will have to buy uniforms, and those who don't use them will have to check if the clothes you have "survived" the summer or if you need to buy some new things. Either way, you'll have to mark and label each garment so they don't get lost in the battle. There are some iron-on labels with children's drawings that you're sure to love.

-          Backpack: They will be your child's great travel companions and, what's more, they will surely become a motivation for their daily life. Choose one decorated with one of their favorite characters and let the magic happen.

-          Covid Protocol: This school year will also be subject to the Covid protocol, so inform yourself very well about the school's requirements and inform your child well. Masks, bubble groups, staggered entry times... last year these terms already sounded quite familiar to us. This year, they are still with us.

And you, are you ready for back to school? Are your little ones looking forward to routine? Tell us in the comments.
