Origins

Our story

INJUSA was founded as a family business, and today we can say that it still preserves that spirit of unity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This essence is evident in the results of the more than 850,000 toys it manufactures each year, in its designs and finishes, and in the trust placed in it by major national and international distributors in over 120 countries who sell INJUSA products through their various sales channels and toy stores.

The key to our success lies in constant investment in R&D&I, compliance with strict child safety controls for its toys, and the guarantee of being 100% Made in Spain production.

INJUSA was founded as BERMISAN in 1947 by Antonio Berbegal Verdú, its founder, and was dedicated to manufacturing miniature wooden and metal trucks, boats, and cars. However, it wasn't until 1951 that it acquired its current name, Industrial Juguetera, S.A. (INJUSA). It was during the 1960s that the company began a period of expansion with the entry of two capitalist partners, which allowed it to maintain an upward development trajectory. It was then that INJUSA became the first Spanish company to manufacture bicycles and tricycles using metal tubes obtained from empty oil drums as raw material, after a curious process based on being rolled up like a cigarette.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, INJUSA once again positioned itself as a pioneering Spanish company by launching a line of large battery-powered ride-on vehicles. The success of this product line was such that it allowed INJUSA to become a world leader in this field.

In 2003, INJUSA moved 35% of its production to China, but in October 2010, due to rising costs, it decided to return to Spain and increase investment in R&D&i. Today, INJUSA manufactures battery-powered electric vehicles, tricycles, pedal vehicles, ride-on motorbikes, hardware, and garden toys such as playhouses, swings, and slides at its facilities in Ibi (Alicante).

From Injusa's Management and with the collaboration of all employees, a common Quality Management System project is promoted, built on fundamental values such as excellence, proactivity, integrity, and consistency, and based on the constant improvement of the Management System through analysis, the identification of opportunities, and the adoption of measures to carry them out effectively and efficiently.

We work to maintain employee motivation in order to achieve maximum involvement and product quality, and for this, we pay special attention to providing them with the necessary resources, their training, and considering their concerns and personal needs.

Achieving maximum customer and supplier satisfaction by creating a suitable value proposition thanks to understanding the needs and expectations of each of them, as well as complying with legal, regulatory, and high-quality requirements, is essential to achieving the success of the new challenges that arise.

Sustainability

At INJUSA, we believe that a sustainable world is possible, and that is why we promote actions that ensure the necessary involvement and commitment to care for and respect the environment in the daily exercise of our activities.

Each year, we update our environmental policy and ensure compliance with environmental legislation, as well as making voluntary commitments that, although not required by law, we consider positive for the environment, such as the recycling and responsible management of the waste we generate.

Research in this area is fundamental to finding new sustainable plastic formulas. For this reason, we participate in eco-projects in a constant search to manufacture 100% sustainable toys.
