Cleaning and sanitizing our children's toys has become a mantra for parents recently, but are you doing it correctly? We know that toys accompany them on their adventures, during park and sandbox time, and their first races. We also know that not only do they touch them, but one of their favorite pastimes is putting them in their mouths. Well, knowing this, the cleaning and sanitization of toys becomes even more important, and to let them play safely and calmly, we are going to tell you how you can disinfect your children's scooters, ride-on toys, or electric cars:
HOW TO WASH RIDE-ON TOYS, PEDAL CARS, CHILDREN'S BIKES, OR TRICYCLES?
Cleaning will be very simple. If they are not very dirty, you can wash them with a cloth dampened in hot water and detergent and then rinse with another clean cloth. If your little one has been in muddy areas or requires a deeper cleaning, you can submerge the toy in soapy water for about 5 minutes and then go over all the nooks and crannies with a bristle brush or a toothbrush. Afterwards, rinse it and wipe it with a cloth with water and alcohol to disinfect it.
HOW TO WASH MOTORCYCLES, QUADS, AND ELECTRIC CARS?
Prepare a solution with warm water and soap and scrub all the plastic parts thoroughly with a sponge and a soft brush, avoiding the mechanical parts. Afterwards, wipe with a damp cloth to remove the soap and disinfect using a cloth soaked in water and alcohol, then let it dry.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DISINFECT TOYS?
Due to COVID-19, it is recommended to sanitize them with an alcoholic solution every time they are taken outside, focusing on areas that have been in contact with the ground. On the other hand, if your little one is going to enjoy the toys at home, washing them once every 15 days will be sufficient.
