STARTING THE MORNINGS PLAYING

Does your little one struggle to get going in the mornings? Does getting everything ready to leave the house become a real challenge? We bring you some ideas so you can start the day with a smile and in a very, very fun way.

The return to school brings with it the dreaded morning routine: waking up early, getting dressed, eating breakfast, packing the backpack... All of this can become a real odyssey, especially with small children. But what if I told you that morning can be a fun time for the whole family? With a little creativity, you can transform the daily routine into the favorite moment of the day. Here are some simple ideas:

1. The morning challenge game

Turn each morning task into a challenge for your children to overcome. You can create a "challenge board" with drawings or stickers of each activity: brushing teeth, getting dressed, combing hair, eating breakfast, putting on shoes... Every time your child completes a task, they earn a star or a special sticker. At the end of the week, you can offer a small prize (such as choosing dessert or a special activity) if they have completed all the challenges. Turning the everyday into a challenge will give them extra motivation!

 2. The musical alarm clock

Waking up can be the hardest part of the morning. How about trying a "musical alarm clock"? Choose an upbeat song that your children like and use it as an alarm to wake up. You can even create a playlist of their favorite songs and have a mini-concert every morning while they get dressed. Besides being fun, it will help them wake up with a smile.

3. The quick costume contest

Getting dressed can be a daily struggle, especially if your child is one of those who resist leaving their favorite pajamas. Turn this activity into a quick costume contest. Give your child a set amount of time (you can use a stopwatch or a song) to get dressed and comb their hair. You can play "fashion show host" and praise their style at the end of the contest. This game not only speeds up the task but can also encourage their autonomy and creativity in choosing their clothes.

4. The backpack treasure hunt

Packing a backpack can be a challenge, but with a little imagination, it can be transformed into a treasure hunt. Hide some of the items they need to carry (like the water bottle or pencil case) in different places around the house and create clues for them to find them. It's a fun way to make sure they don't forget anything!

5. The magic breakfast

Turn breakfast into a magical moment, creating "potions" or "special dishes." You can rename foods as "powerful dragon smoothies" or "superhero cookies." Get your children involved in the preparation and let them make fun decisions, like choosing between "magical snowflakes" (oatmeal) or "enchanted fruits" (fresh fruit). This participation will make them more excited to start the day.

6. The family super team

Make the morning routine a mission for the whole family. Each team member has a specific task, and by completing them all, they achieve a daily "victory." You can use a whiteboard to keep track of the week's victories. This dynamic reinforces teamwork and turns every morning into a small family adventure.

Choose the activity that connects most with your child and your needs... and play!
