May 18 is International Museum Day, a day to recognize the important work museums do in the social and educational development of the population. For our part, we want to contribute by compiling a list of the best museums to visit with children. The most fun, the most educational, and those that will help the little ones in the house cultivate their love for museums. Here are our suggestions:
- Museum of Arts and Sciences of Valencia: impressive on the outside and incredibly fun on the inside. Over 26,000 square meters dedicated to life, science, and technology. We love it because it's a very interactive space where little ones can learn by playing and experimenting.
- Dinópolis, in Teruel: almost all children are fascinated by dinosaurs, and this will be the perfect opportunity to learn more about these fascinating animals and about paleontology.
- Domus, the House of Man in A Coruña: an essentially interactive museum where you can learn about the origin and evolution of humans and experiment with the 5 senses.
- National Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid: a space to learn and enjoy biology, fossils, minerals, and human evolution. In addition to the permanent exhibitions where you can observe nature and its evolution, you can also enjoy other special activities such as storytelling or urban camps.
- Puppet Museum of Albaida: in this small town in Valencia, we find this unique museum exhibiting puppets and marionettes from all continents. You can see famous pieces that have appeared in film or television (for example, the news puppets).
