For the little chefs, we suggest some recipes that will make Easter even more fun and delicious.

Ready for the Easter holidays? These days are for enjoying with family, and what better way to share and create memories than by cooking together. At Injusa, we believe that family moments are as important as play and learning. That's why today we bring you three simple and delicious recipes, ideal for making with the little chefs of the house. These recipes are not only fun to prepare, but they will also delight both young and old.

1. Chocolate Filled Easter Eggs

Ingredients:

- 6 large plastic eggs (clean and food-safe)

- 200 g melting chocolate (milk or dark, as preferred)

- Colored sprinkles, chocolate chips, or mini M&M’s for decorating

Step-by-Step:

Mold Preparation: Open the plastic eggs and clean them thoroughly. These will serve as molds for our chocolate eggs.

Melt the Chocolate: With an adult's help, melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, being careful not to burn it. Stir well until completely smooth.

Fill the Molds: Pour the melted chocolate into each plastic egg half. Make sure to cover all corners by rotating the egg. Then, join the two halves and let the chocolate set slightly before refrigerating.

Refrigeration: Refrigerate the eggs for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate has completely hardened.

Decoration: Once the chocolate eggs are ready, carefully remove them from the molds. You can decorate them with a little melted chocolate and sprinkle colored sprinkles, chocolate chips, or mini M&M’s on top.

Time to enjoy! You can hide them in the garden or in corners of the house for the little ones to find, or if you prefer, you can use them as special decorations for these days.

2. Bunny Rolls

Ingredients:

- 500 g wheat flour

- 250 ml warm milk

- 1 egg (and an additional one for brushing)

- 50 g butter at room temperature

- 50 g sugar

- 10 g dry yeast

- A pinch of salt

- Raisins or dried cranberries for the eyes

Step-by-Step:

Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour with the yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the butter, egg, and gradually the warm milk until a homogeneous dough is formed.

Knead: Work the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and elastic.

Form the Bunnies: Divide the dough into portions of about 50 g each. Form small balls for the body and elongated ears. You can use raisins or dried cranberries for the eyes. Let the children shape their own bunnies, encouraging their creativity.

Proofing: Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Bake: Brush the rolls with beaten egg and bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Enjoy: Serve these tender and fun rolls for breakfast or as part of your Easter menu.

3. Torrijas (Spanish French Toast)

Torrijas are a traditional Holy Week dessert that cannot be missing from your table. This recipe is simple and perfect for cooking with children, becoming a sweet tradition that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients:

- 1 loaf of bread for torrijas (preferably day-old)

- 500 ml milk

- 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

- 1 cinnamon stick

- Peel of 1 lemon

- 2 eggs

- Mild olive oil for frying

- Sugar and ground cinnamon for sprinkling

Step-by-Step:

Infuse the Milk: In a saucepan, heat the milk with the sugar, cinnamon stick, and lemon peel. Once it starts to boil, remove from heat and let cool.

Prepare the Bread: Cut the bread into slices approximately 2 cm thick.

Soak the Bread: Once the milk is lukewarm, immerse the bread slices in it, making sure they are well soaked but do not fall apart.

Beat the Eggs: In a deep dish, beat the eggs.

Fry the Torrijas: Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan. Dip each milk-soaked bread slice in the beaten egg and fry until golden brown on both sides. It is important to do this carefully and possibly with adult supervision.

Drain and Sugar: Once fried, place the torrijas on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Mix sugar with a little ground cinnamon and sprinkle this mixture over the torrijas while they are still warm.

Serve and Enjoy: Torrijas can be enjoyed both warm and cold. They are the perfect dessert to finish any Holy Week meal or to enjoy as a special snack.
