Christmas is a magical time to spend with family, and what better way to enjoy it together than by cooking? Involving children in the kitchen is not only fun, but it also teaches them important skills like organization, creativity, and teamwork. Today we suggest some easy and delicious Christmas recipes you can prepare with them. Let's get cooking!

1. Puff pastry mini Christmas trees

A recipe as simple as it is striking, perfect for surprising everyone at home.

  • Puff pastry.
  • Grated cheese.
  • Tomato sauce or pesto.
  • Skewers.

Instructions:

  • Gingerbread cookie dough (homemade or store-bought).
  • Melting chocolate.
  • M&M's or candies for the nose.
  • Toothpicks for the antlers.

Instructions:

  1. With the help of the children, cut the dough into circles for the reindeer faces.
  2. Bake the cookies according to the recipe or package instructions.
  3. Once cool, melt the chocolate and let the children draw the eyes and stick on the M&M's as noses.
  4. Insert toothpicks into the top edges to create the antlers.

3. Coconut and chocolate snowballs

A simple and delicious recipe that children will love, perfect for adding a sweet touch to the holidays.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g condensed milk.
  • 150 g shredded coconut (and a little more for decorating).
  • 100 g melting chocolate.

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the condensed milk with the shredded coconut until you get a compact and manageable dough.
  2. Form small balls with your hands. This step is ideal for children, they will love getting a little messy while helping!
  3. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave and cover some of the balls with it, leaving others with just coconut.
  4. Roll the balls in shredded coconut to give them a "snow" effect.
  5. Chill them in the refrigerator for an hour to set.
