On April 26, we celebrated Children's Day for the first time. We commemorated that exactly one year ago, children were able to go outside after 42 days confined at home due to the pandemic. Those days, the little ones used their main tools (imagination, laughter, and fantasy) and turned those days of anxiety and uncertainty into days full of games and activities. Finally, on the 26th, the streets were once again filled with laughter and games, and they began to show their exemplary behavior in schools, parks, and their daily lives. From now on, April 26th must be for them. This initiative, which we immediately joined, is promoted by the Crecer Jugando Foundation and the Spanish Association of Toy Manufacturers. Many companies, institutions, and corporations have decided to give children their place.
For our part, we have enthusiastically launched two actions to commemorate this day. Firstly, in collaboration with our dearest Esther from Mibebémolón, we have launched a giveaway through her Instagram platform (you can access it here) and, among the participants, we will be giving away a 200€ voucher to redeem in our online store. In addition, all those who enter the code MIBEBEMOLON when making their purchase, will get a 10% discount until May 15th. Do you like the idea? Don't miss out on participating in the giveaway! And take advantage, if you want to buy the star toy of spring, now is the time to do it with a discount.

With a year's perspective, the Crecer Jugando Foundation has developed a comprehensive study to understand how children experienced this period of confinement and what their preferences are when it comes to playing and spending their free time. 1000 boys and girls aged 0 to 12 participated in this research with their families, and the aim was to give them a voice to define the activities they preferred to be carried out to celebrate Children's Day. The study concluded that what children most wanted was to play, be with friends and family doing fun activities, especially outdoors. Children prefer to do activities in environments different from their home, thus moving games to the streets, schools, museums, cinemas, and even the shops in their neighborhood. However, they also like to do activities related to crafts, cooking, or dancing at home, with the balcony being their favorite spot.
And you? How did you celebrate Children's Day? Are you preparing anything special for the coming days?
