In September, school starts, and with it, birthdays, commitments, and little gifts for the kids. Have you already been invited to a birthday party? Some of the moms we know tell us they've already started receiving invitations and they're sharing how they're organizing their little ones' events:
- Whenever possible, gifts will be combined. The idea is for all the children attending the birthday party to give one single gift together. Why? This allows for more money to buy something truly interesting and avoids overwhelming the birthday child with too many gifts they won't know what to do with.

- Neutral gifts are preferred, ones that do not reinforce gender inequalities. This means choosing gifts that align with each child's tastes, interests, and needs, rather than being based on pre-established roles.
- Efforts will be made to choose toys that provide valuable content and aid development. Ride-on toys, for example, improve children's motor skills; garden playhouses promote outdoor play and imagination development; and motorcycles allow them to gain greater control over their own bodies and environment. Here you can see some of the preferred choices parents decide to give as gifts.

- It's always a good idea to include something school-related in the gift: backpacks, books, art supplies... This way, they'll learn through play and the assimilation of concepts will be much simpler.
Have you considered any guidelines for birthdays? Tell us about it!
