Cómo preparar un “verano de verdad”: más movimiento, menos pantallas

How to prepare for a “real summer”: more movement, less screen time

Injusa|
This summer, forget about screens and give your little one what they really need: to move, explore, and play like kids used to. We'll tell you how to achieve this without going crazy!

Summer arrives, and with it, long afternoons without school, holidays, heat... and the dreaded: "What do I do with the child all day?" Because yes, the little ones are happy, but you still have to work, juggling your time, and sometimes, you're tempted to let them have the tablet for a little longer. Or a much longer time. Or just a little more.

But at Injusa, we're clear: summer is for playing, moving, sweating, laughing, discovering. To live it in sneakers, not with your face glued to a screen. We want children to enjoy being children, with dirty knees, overflowing imagination, and endless energy to run around the garden or the hallway at home.

Here are some practical (and realistic) ideas to make this summer different. An old-fashioned summer, but adapted to today's life. A summer with less screen time and much more real play.

1. Get your body moving (even without leaving home)

Active play doesn't have to wait until you go to the park or on vacation. If you have a terrace, a garden, or a long hallway, you already have a racing zone. Injusa's ride-ons, small motorcycles, or electric cars become the perfect excuse to get moving every day, even without fully going outside.

And if you have the opportunity, let's enjoy the garden or the park! Are you in?

And yes, movement is not only fun: it improves sleep, digestion, mood, and concentration. Additionally, if your little one is learning to walk or consolidating their balance, this type of play is ideal for stimulating their development.

2. Design "free play moments"

You don't have to have everything organized. Sometimes, they just need uninterrupted time to imagine their own game. Keep toys handy that encourage them to move or build (an obstacle course with cushions, a vehicle race, a makeshift tent under the dining table).

The key: remove screens and stay close without directing the game. Being present also means accompanying without constantly intervening. It sounds simple, but it works.

3. Activate the street, the patio, or the town

Let's bring back sidewalk games, afternoons at the park, or races with neighbors. An Injusa motorcycle or an electric quad can be the best passport for your little one to want to go outside. A ball, racket games, sticks that become horses, chalk for drawing on the sidewalks... There are many options for kids to have an active outdoor summer.

Furthermore, shared play with other children fosters sociability, creativity, turn-taking, and confidence.

4. And yes, they'll get bored. And that's healthy too

Don't fill every minute with activities. Boredom, though uncomfortable, is an open door to creativity. When there's no "plan," they invent one. Sometimes with stones, other times with a box, other times with a toy car that becomes a rocket.

This summer can be different. More movement, more childhood, more connection with you and with their own body. Because growing up isn't just learning new things; it's also experiencing them with all the senses.
And you can give them that gift every day.
